K53 Learners Testing Privacy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 June 2026

This page explains how the K53 Learners Testing website ("the app", "we") handles your information. The app is a free study aid for the South African learner's licence test.

Who we are

This app is operated by In House IT (PTY) Ltd. For any privacy questions, contact us at angus@inhouseit.durban.

Information we collect

The app itself does not ask you to create an account or submit personal details. Your study progress, exam history and settings are stored only on your own device (in your browser's local storage) and are not sent to us.

Advertising

This free app is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display adverts. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Analytics

If enabled, we may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to understand general usage (such as how many people visit and which sections are popular). Remove this section if you do not use analytics.

Your rights (POPIA)

Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have rights regarding personal information held about you. Because we store your study data only on your device, you can clear it at any time using the app's Settings → Reset all progress, or by clearing your browser data.

Children

This app is an educational study tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising is served by Google in line with its policies.

Intellectual property & ownership

All original content on this website is the proprietary property of In House IT (PTY) Ltd and is protected by copyright and other applicable laws. This includes, but is not limited to:

You may use this content for your own personal, non-commercial study. You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, republish, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any of our proprietary content — in whole or in part — without our prior written permission. Automated collection of our content (for example scraping or harvesting the questions) is strictly prohibited.

The official South African road signs shown in this app are government traffic-control devices sourced from publicly available, freely-licensed material and remain in the public domain; they are not claimed as our proprietary content. We do not claim any affiliation with, or endorsement by, any government department or the authors of the K53 manual.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above will reflect any changes.
